Our Story
Granite Mountain Stone Design traces its roots back to 1995 when Edward (Ed) Charles founded the residential stone fabrication branch of Coldspring's Canadian operations. Under Ed's leadership, the business flourished, boasting a diverse slab inventory of over 100 colours.
In a pivotal moment in October 2017, when Coldspring decided to exit Canada, Ed and his son Brent took decisive action to preserve 35 jobs. They acquired the countertop division, committing to staying in the province and upholding their contribution to the local economy.
The New Granite Mountain Stone Design
Transitioning into his role as owner and CEO, Brent Charles, a seasoned employee, joined forces with his father to establish Granite Mountain Stone Design. This new venture is dedicated to delivering custom products with an unwavering commitment to superior customer service.
